There will be direct and indirect employment created. It is estimated that Viking Energy will create around 50 jobs per annum and generate another 26 in support services. The construction phase will create an average of about 221 local jobs for its 5-year duration.

On top of this there are wider effects through the investment possible from profits generated.  It is estimated this could amount to at least an additional 350 jobs being sustained over the life of the wind farm.
