Jobs
There will be direct and indirect employment created. It is estimated that Viking Energy will create around 42 direct jobs and further 26 in support services. The construction phase will create an average of about 174 local jobs during its 5-year duration.
Numerous further job opportunities could be created through the project's local economic investment.
Additional jobs could also be generated in other renewable energy sectors as a result of the capacity created on the grid by the interconnector.
