Viking Energy is deeply committed to ensuring that as much work as possible relating to the wind farm stays local. We are working closely with the Shetland business community to maximise opportunities.
It is important that any local supplier, contractor or service provider who wishes to be considered for contracts gets signed up to the . This is a free service and, once you have registered, you are entitled to apply for the many contracts on offer throughout the region and beyond.
Recently there have been contracts for:
- Supply of boiler suits
- Bed and breakfast accommodation
- Fencing and road surfacing
- Subsea cabling
- Multi-million pound wind farm construction works
Once registered, you can also advertise your own opportunities, such as sub-contracting work for SSE projects. You can use the portal to advertise your own opportunities if you are looking for suppliers.
