Viking Energy Wind Farm (VEWF) has helped Shetland Girls Football Team kick off their participation in the Caledonian Super Cup with a donation of £2,500.
The money will help with the costs associated with the team’s trip to the tournament, which is taking place in Edinburgh this weekend.
Coach Paul Inkster said:
“It is an exciting time for the team as this will be the first time many of the girls have played down South but hopefully not the last.
“The money will go a long way to help with our trip and ease the costs on parents and guardians.”
Viking Energy Wind Farm Stakeholder Manager Aaron Priest said:
“It is fantastic that we’ve been given the chance to support this great opportunity for Shetland girls to show off their footballing expertise.
“We wish them the best of luck at the Caledonian Super Cup and look forward to hearing about their experience on their return.”
